Update August 14

The Chapel Road Culvert Replacement Project at Wootenaux Creek is now complete, and Chapel Road reopened to traffic on August 14, 2026. Temporary road closure and detour signs have also been removed.

The project replaced several deteriorating culverts with a new bottomless arch culvert, a design that preserves the natural streambed, minimizes environmental impacts, and reduces long-term maintenance needs. Additional improvements included the installation of new guardrails to enhance roadway safety and new pavement from Wootenaux Creek to Klondike Road.
